Abstract
Large-scale renewable energy bases are often located far from hub transmission stations and feature weak grid strength, along with a high number of units within the facility. Combined with the randomness, volatility, and intermittency of renewable energy output, this leads to a high risk of internal oscillations in renewable power stations. This report will focus on the stability analysis and control of renewable energy generation bases. It will cover the following key aspects: wide-band stability analysis of grid-forming (GFM) converters, stability control of GFM converters under wide short-circuit ratio (WSCR) conditions, configuration methods for GFM converters, and interactive stability and cooperative control in multi-converter systems. The aim is to provide feasible technical solutions for addressing wide-band small-signal stability issues in multi-converter interconnected systems.
